Brewery:  The Lost Abbey out of San Marcos, CA

Tomme Arthur is part of the team that created the vision of The Lost Abbey.  Abbey ales trace their roots back to Trappist ales traditionally brewed by monastic monks in Belgium.  Because Tomme Arthur and his beer have no monastic ties, they dubbed their brewery The “Lost” Abbey.

Santo Ron Diego began as a strong ale brewed with dark candy syrup and spices before it made it’s way into rum barrels in early 2013.  Initial aroma’s of sweet rum, cocoa with hints of vanilla and orange peel lead into flavors of ginger, brown sugar and spiced rum throughout with a drying black pepper finish.
